East Rutherford Restaurant Trio Charged With Raping Incapacitated Woman

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – (UPDATE) The INS has placed detainers on three restaurant workers charged with sexually assaulting an incapacitated woman in East Rutherford.

Taken into custody after East Rutherford police received a 911 call Monday from the woman were 29-year-old dishwasher Rene Jimenez of East Rutherford and two kitchen helpers, 20-year-old Luis Tenecela, of Hackensack, and Emeterio Castelan, 25, also of East Rutherford.

Jiminez and Castelan live together in an apartment across from the borough post office and a day-care center.

All are charged with aggravated sexual assault on a victim while aided by an accomplice “while she was incapacitated and physically helpless,” Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo said Wednesday.

The three were being held in the Bergen County Jail pending a detention hearing this Monday, Calo said.
